Marketing Manager

The purpose of the Marketing Manager role is to manage the day-to-day marketing operations and activities for the Sheraa brand by building awareness around Sheraa’s programs, projects, and offerings. The Marketing manager will be the department’s liaison for cross-functional organizational requests. He will engage Sheraa’s online and offline communities through the marketing calendar of events and campaigns, and will be working closely with the Programs and Partnerships teams annual plans to grow Sharjah’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. 

Candidate Requirements

  1. Education
    1. Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communication.
    2. Desirable: Master’s Degree in Marketing or Communication with certifications in Digital Marketing.
  2. Experience:
    1. Essential: 5-7 years within the same field, and knowledge of the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Role Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day marketing operations of the Sheraa brand and its offerings, by working very closely with the Programs and Partnerships team within the organization.
  • Liaising with Sheraa’s partners and external stakeholders in preparation for collaborative and joint 3rd party campaigns, events, and overall projects.
  • Assisting Programs teams in formulating and implementing strategic, targeted, and measurable marketing and communications plans and overseeing collateral development to position programs externally.
  • Working closely with the Programs managers to plan upcoming projects as per the calendar and brief the marketing functions in timely manners.
  • Briefing, overseeing, and approving all creative content and collateral developed by the Content and Social Media team, ensuring Sheraa brand standards and values are consistent.
  • Building the monthly social media calendar with Content personnel, and with updates from Sheraa’s founders and startup news, and setting a process with Programs department to be regularly receiving the updates.
  • Managing and utilizing external resources if necessary to deliver campaign’s content activities on time.
  • Managing Sheraa’s corporate Public Relations overall strategy, both online and offline, and continually developing and improving on strategies for wider reach and increased coverage for Sheraa and its entrepreneurs.
  • Leading on the comms function by working closely with the PR agency to deliver tactical PR activities that realize the broader strategic communications and marketing activities.
  • Working closely with the PR agency to strengthen Sheraa’s media relations in the UAE and broader GCC, with both mainstream media and specialized media relevant to the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
  • Overseeing the press releases creation process with agency and/or creative writers, and taking charge of media distribution with the agency for maximum coverage.
