Programs and Ecosystem Manager

The purpose of the Programs and Ecosystem Manager is to strategize operational developments and improvements for different Sheraa programs, while also assisting with building and engaging our ecosystem community members and Pre-idea university community. He/she would be lead partnerships and programmatic support to build entrepreneurial talent with universities and be responsible for scouting for startups and building scouting channels. He/she would also be required to co-strategize and lead support in the programmatic operations of the other initiatives of Sheraa, along with relevant members of the Programs Team. This will include conversations with partners, alumni support and ad-hoc training for other Sheraa initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

1. Education

  1. Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited university.
  2. Desirable: MBA/ Masters in a related field.

2. Education

  1. Essential: knowledge of business development, relationship management, entrepreneurship, project management, basic product management, and the start-up ecosystem.
  2. Essential: 5 to 8 years of experience in working in start-up studios/ accelerators/ incubators, venture capital, community management, business development, and/ or a start-up advisory role, out of which, 1 year in leading an accelerator or similar startup program.
  3. Essential: Team management experience, or proven experience in managing across different departments.
  4. Desirable: Experience and network within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, preferably MENA, including investors, industry experts and relevant corporates.
  5. Desirable: Former entrepreneurial experience either as founder, co-founder or early startup employee.

Role Responsibilities

  • Overseeing execution by Programs and Startups ecosystem and University functions.
  • Overseeing the creation and execution of the Sheraa Pre-idea university program and engagement with universities.
  • Assist with post-program support and engagement for all current and historical portfolio and alumni startups.
  • Ensure high entrepreneur satisfaction, conducted via satisfaction, NPS and C-SAT surveys.
  • Creating operational plans to continually improve Programs Department functions and engagement with the startup ecosystem.
  • Overseeing the execution, development, and launch of a platform for portfolio and community start-ups, and entrepreneurs into the Entrepreneurship Development programs.
  • Working with partnerships to develop incentives and startup services programs and to enhance benefits for entrepreneurs, and connecting with entrepreneurs and programs participants to validate and research requirements.
  • Working closely with Partnerships manager and your direct reports to maximize community benefits for startups, as well as making sure mentors and service providers agreements are activated and utilized.
  • Devising reports that provide details on benefits usage, frequency, and start-up feedback.
  • Providing solutions and locating gaps for opportunities based on start-up, feedback, events, and reports.
